General Hospital Spoilers: Gio Palmieri Moves Out and Leaves Sonny Suspicious

Port Charles is bracing for high tension and emotional fallout as relationships fracture and dangerous secrets close in. General Hospital spoilers for Friday, October 9, reveal that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will double down on his support for a heavily pressured Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), while Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) faces a wave of devastating news and growing isolation.
Chase Urges Willow to Fight Back
At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Chase refuses to let up in his mission to convince Willow that she has to let him help her navigate her mounting crisis. Dismissing the damaging news cycle as a bogus hit piece, Chase directly blames Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) for orchestrating it.
Chase firmly believes that Willow is entirely incapable of the dark acts she’s being accused of—specifically drugging Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) with a paralytic for months. Determined to clear her name, he wants her to strike back with a defamation lawsuit against Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening), alongside other potential legal tactics. While Chase assures Willow that he is fiercely standing in her corner and leaves her deeply grateful, she remains intensely anxious beneath the surface. The heavy weight of reality lingers, given that Willow truly is guilty of the deed!
Curtis Wrestles with Monet’s Connection to Jordan
Over at General Hospital, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is still reeling from the explosive revelation that Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard) is Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) sister. During their tense interaction, Monet drops hints about their estranged past and delivers a chilling warning that Jordan has no idea what she is capable of.
Although Curtis carries valid concerns about trusting Monet to represent him under such complicated circumstances, her legal insights regarding his appeal happen to be quite strong. If Curtis genuinely wants to secure a clear path to freedom, he may have no choice but to place his trust in Monet, family drama be damned. Meanwhile, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) advises Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) that Desmond Ashford (Yirah Aviah Lafond) desperately needs his family right now. Portia is quick to point out that this circle must include Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson), who has grown deeply attached and wants a permanent place in Des’ life.
Sidwell Rattles Isaiah While Sonny Faces Betrayal
Things take a tense turn when Isaiah checks on Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) in his hospital room. Sidwell drops a cryptic comment warning that plans can easily change, leaving Isaiah unsettled and worried that he might be pushed out of Portia’s family picture. Fortunately, support comes from an unexpected place: after Isaiah recently lent an ear to Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) troubles, Britt returns the favor by offering him some much-needed advice. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is also set to provide guidance to someone in need, which may involve her personal take on Sonny and the ongoing Pentonville attacks.
Speaking of Sonny, his life continues to unravel when Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) drops a bombshell of his own. Gio informs Sonny that he is officially moving out of the house to find a new place with Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner). Suspecting there is far more to the sudden departure, Sonny questions Gio’s motives. Once Gio confirms his doubts regarding Sonny’s innocence in the Pentonville situation, Sonny suspects that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) may have influenced or brainwashed his grandson.
Gio assures Sonny that the choice is entirely his own and that he stands by it firmly. While Sonny wishes Gio would believe his side of the story, he respects his grandson’s decision and wishes him well in his new chapter with Emma. To top off a chaotic day in Port Charles, Detective Dante Falconeri will find himself deeply frustrated as the police investigation hits major snags and stalls out.
With trust wearing thin across the board, how long can dark secrets stay buried before everything collapses in Port Charles?
