Salem is set for a wild ride filled with hidden schemes, shocking returns, and relationship tests. Days of Our Lives spoilers for Friday, October 9, reveal that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) is about to make a jaw-dropping discovery, while Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) continues pushing her manipulative agenda to drive a wedge between Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) and Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein).
Joy Unhappy With Discharge Orders as Alex and Stephanie Steal Time
Joy might have managed to get her way regarding Alex, but that doesn’t mean she is happy with her hospital discharge orders. Joy is expected to continue working out and trying to improve her physical situation. However, Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) may decide that Joy requires additional tests to figure out why she supposedly cannot move.
The truth is that Joy is playing this medical crisis for all it is worth because she is determined to come between Alex and Stephanie. With zero respect for Alex’s marriage, Joy wants him all to herself. Fans are left wondering if Joy will try even harder to look helpless just so Alex spends more time catering to her, and whether it is finally time for Alex to catch on to her deceptive plans.
Before Joy’s grand move into Alex’s apartment cuts their time even shorter, Stephanie and Alex manage to steal a private moment together. Whether this intimate window will bring them closer or if Joy’s impending arrival will push them further apart remains to be seen.
Belle Needs Chad’s Assistance With a Family Secret
Over on the family front, Belle Black has finally learned that Dominic Marino is supposedly her mother’s son with Stefano DiMera (Joe Mascolo). Naturally, Belle isn’t sure if she should trust this explosive claim, and her mother definitely wants a DNA test to prove whether this man is truly her brother. Can Chad DiMera (Connor Floyd) manage to find a way to secure a DNA sample from Dominic?
Steve Johnson Receives Concerning News From Johnny DiMera
Meanwhile, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) thought he had solid leverage when he secured surveillance footage featuring Johnny’s face from the July 4 incident. However, Johnny has already beaten him to the punch by talking to Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and the police about what his father has done.
Though Johnny deleted information from the computer, he never actually put any incriminating data into it. Viewers are left questioning whether Johnny has already turned in information that could help clear Sarah Horton’s (Linsey Godfrey) name, or if Johnny is dropping by to inform Steve that he will be leaving Salem altogether. Whatever Johnny reveals is bound to be disturbing for Steve and his ongoing efforts to protect Sarah and the hospital.
Kristen DiMera Discovers Sophia Choi Is Alive
In one of the most explosive developments of the week, Kristen receives crucial information that leads her straight to a Kentucky diner. Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd)—who has been presumed dead for months after Kristen famously whacked her over the head and had her thrown in the river—is alive! How will Sophia react when she looks up and sees Kristen standing at her new workplace miles away from Salem?
Complications mount when Kristen may receive a call from Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) urging her to rush home to their daughter, Rachel Black (Lorelei Olivia Mote), who is undergoing surgery for a ruptured appendix. Will Kristen make it back home while dragging Sophia along with her? And if she does, could bringing Sophia back to Salem finally get EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) off Kristen’s back?
With so many secrets unraveling across Salem, how long can these characters keep their explosive lies under wraps?
