As fans piece together the suspicious timing of her break, evidence points toward Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) as the potential architect behind unleashing this dangerous force back onto the canvas.
Did Victor Help Patty Slip Away From Steel Bars?
Patty had been confined to a maximum-security psychiatric facility following her previous attempt on the lives of Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). When Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) visited her recently, she was locked behind heavy steel bars—not lounging in a common area. Because slipping away unnoticed from such a fortified environment seems nearly impossible, Patty would have required major outside assistance. Whether involving a corrupted guard, a compromised warden, or underhanded bribes, suspicion naturally falls on Victor.
Victor has a long history of weaponizing Patty against Jack. The first time he utilized her, Patty ended up shooting and nearly killing both Jack and Victor. Despite that lethal outcome, Victor recently exploited her again, making it entirely plausible he would do so a third time.
