Young and the Restless Spoilers: Coco Spectra Crashes Sally’s Bachelorette Party

Genoa City is bracing for a whirlwind week filled with festive pre-wedding celebrations, surprising family reunions, and major behind-the-scenes casting shake-ups. As Sally Spectra and Billy Abbott prepare to walk down the aisle, the week of October 5–9 promises plenty of fanfare on-screen, while sudden casting shifts promise to redefine key storylines across the canvas.

Pre-Wedding Festivities and a Surprising Bachelorette Crasher

Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) are gearing up for their impending nuptials, kicking off the week with their respective bachelorette and bachelor parties. While wedding planning can be stressful, Sally will have plenty of support surrounding her. Fan-favorite recurring players Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will both be on hand to toast the bride-to-be and join in on the celebration.

However, no party in Genoa City ever goes strictly according to plan. Teasers for the Thursday, October 8 episode hint that an unexpected guest will crash Sally’s bachelorette gathering. All signs point to the arrival of Sally’s sister, Coco Spectra, who will be played by Ashley Campbell.

This marks Coco’s official debut on The Young and the Restless, expanding the Spectra footprint in Genoa City. Audiences last saw the character on The Bold and the Beautiful, where she was portrayed by Courtney Grosbeck. Having Coco step into town just as Sally prepares to take such a massive leap forward adds a welcome dose of family solidarity—and potential drama—to the pre-wedding excitement.

Major Recast for Holden Novak

Behind the scenes, significant cast changes are stirring up speculation. Holden Novak has been off the Genoa City canvas for a stretch while enjoying a trip with his biological father, Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore). However, reports indicate that Holden’s current portrayer, Nathan Owens, has quietly been dropped from the Y&R cast.

While the CBS soap has not yet officially confirmed the departure, industry buzz suggests that actor Curtis Washington will step into the role as the new Holden Novak recast.

Owens originally made his debut as the character in January 2025 under false pretenses, using the alias “Damian Kane.” It was later revealed that he was merely posing as Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) because his friend harbored serious suspicions regarding a Winters job offer.

If Owens has indeed departed the series, recasting the role makes strategic sense for ongoing storylines. Holden recently discovered his true lineage as a member of the Winters family, and he remains embroiled in a steamy romance with Claire Newman (Hayley Erin).

Furthermore, with his sister, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), on the cusp of another potential cancer diagnosis, she is going to need every bit of family support she can get in the coming weeks. Fans are also eager to see how Holden will react to Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) dating Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), making his return to town vital for multiple front-burner plots.

Returning Favorites on the Horizon

The casting news doesn’t end there. Thanks to a recent post on Michelle Stafford’s (Phyllis Summers) Instagram Stories, viewers have learned that Lily Brook O’Briant is set to reprise her role as Lucy Romalotti. Fans can look forward to Lucy’s return to the canvas later this fall, just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday episodes in November.

With Coco Spectra making her grand arrival, a new actor potentially taking over the role of Holden Novak, and Lucy Romalotti returning for the holidays, Genoa City is set for an eventful autumn. Which of these upcoming arrivals or cast changes are you most excited to see play out on screen?
