Preparation for Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) upcoming wedding kicks off the weekly drama with plenty of friction. The fiery redhead informs Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) about her latest bridesmaid selection, but Audra is far from thrilled about Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) joining the wedding party.
Despite her personal reservations, Audra recognizes that this celebration belongs to Sally. Putting their past grievances aside for the bride’s sake, Audra and Chelsea manage to agree to an uneasy truce. As the week draws to a close on Friday, Sally also reaches a crucial understanding with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), paving the way for smoother waters ahead of her big day.
Victor’s Protection Plan Drives Nick to Take Control
Over at the Newman estate, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is fiercely determined to protect Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) at all costs. Taking immediate action, Victor gives Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) his marching orders, demanding he vanish. Yet, given how many times Matt has gone back and forth, whether he actually heeds the mustache’s warning remains to be seen.
As the week progresses, Victor and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) put a comprehensive plan into motion to keep Nick safe. The family soon gathers for a strategy meeting to figure out how to best support Nick through the storm. But Nick reaches his boiling point—refusing to hide behind his parents’ shields, he takes matters into his own hands.
Adding another layer of family friction, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) steps up to offer a helping hand to Nick. Although Jack serves as Nick’s sponsor, Victor is never one to appreciate an Abbott stepping into Newman family affairs. Viewers could easily see Victor throw a full-blown temper tantrum over Jack’s involvement in Nick’s life.
