The canvas expanded on August 10 when Jade Harlow made her dramatic debut as Marie Kirkland. Struggling with a severe addiction to painkillers, Marie immediately crossed paths with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), who is battling similar demons. Their instant connection sparked a steamy encounter during their very first meeting, setting up a deeply complex dynamic for the Newman heir.
Meanwhile, other fan favorites packed their bags. In early August, Noah Newman and Sienna Bacall made the joint decision to flee Genoa City and return to Los Angeles, driven away by the looming threat of Matt Clark. Daytime fans got a rare treat in June when Days of Our Lives icon Lauren Koslow (Kate Roberts Brady) temporarily stepped into the shoes of Jill Abbott. The villain department also received a major shot in the arm. On April 1, Roger Howarth made a jaw-dropping return as the vile Matt Clark, instantly throwing the canvas into chaos. Earlier in the spring, Christel Khalil made her triumphant return as Lily Winters on March 26, following a maternity leave that began in early January for the birth of her third child.
Fans were also treated to a touch of Las Vegas nostalgia when Tina Casciani returned as Riza Thomson on March 23. Riza’s presence slowly faded into the background after the Genoa City crew wrapped up their Sin City adventures and headed home in late April.
In another shocker, Stacy Haiduk reprised her role as Patty Williams on March 6—a character she hadn’t played in nearly a decade since her 2016 exit.
