A deadly cover-up and a calculated frame job are coalescing into an absolute nightmare for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). According to General Hospital spoilers for the week of September 14, William Baines (Alimi Ballard) is set to find missing WSB Chief Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) wallet, leading directly to Nina’s dramatic arrest. As Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) works tirelessly to protect a terrifying secret, Nina finds herself caught in a trap that could leave her answering for a crime she didn’t commit.
The Public Fall-Out and Deadly Cover-Up
The ABC soap dropped its weekly preview featuring chilling scenes where Brennan’s wallet is discovered, followed swiftly by Baines arresting someone right at the Metro Court Pool. It is hard not to imagine that Nina will be the unfortunate soul hauled away in handcuffs, given the mountain of circumstantial evidence stacked against her.
The animosity began mere days before Brennan’s mysterious disappearance when Nina and the WSB chief engaged in a very public, heated argument at the Metro Court Gardens. Brennan was simply attempting to help his new gal pal see reason, warning her that Willow would turn on her in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, Nina failed to see his advice as friendly guidance and lashed out far too harshly. To make matters worse, a crowd of witnesses heard Nina utter explicit threats toward Brennan.

Drew’s Sinister Frame Job and Carly’s Betrayal
Unbeknownst to the rest of Port Charles, Drew took extreme measures following Brennan’s sudden demise. After burying Brennan’s body right next to the Quartermaine estate, a sinister idea struck Drew. Knowing how public Nina’s fight with Brennan had been, Drew grabbed the deceased man’s wallet and secretly planted it inside Nina’s car.
Meanwhile, during the week of September 7, Baines grilled Carly regarding Brennan’s whereabouts. Never one to spare her long-time rival, Carly was quick to recount Nina’s aggressive threats and eagerly pointed the investigator straight in Nina’s direction.
With Carly’s statement backing up the growing suspicion, Baines moves forward with interrogating Nina. That intense questioning appears to pave the way for Baines to secure a search warrant targeting Nina’s home and vehicle.

When Baines and his team execute the search warrant, it won’t take long for them to stumble upon the planted wallet inside her car. Uncovering the missing man’s personal property in her possession provides the authorities with the physical smoking gun they need.
