A storm is brewing in Port Charles, and the fallout from secrets, lies, and dangerous careers is about to rip through some of the town’s most prominent families. General Hospital spoilers update for Tuesday, July 7, indicate that a web of deception is tightening, leaving several residents in highly precarious positions. From a devastatingly wrong accusation to a mother’s tearful plea, the emotional stakes are hitting an all-time high.

Deception Deepens for Chase, Brook Lynn, and Michael

The central conflict heading into Tuesday revolves around a massive misunderstanding that could tear relationships apart. Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) is on the verge of reigniting his bitter feud with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) after jumping to a major wrong conclusion. While Chase partly blames Assistant District Attorney Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) for the legal crisis currently surrounding Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen), he may soon direct the brunt of his anger toward Michael.

Chase will alert a stunned Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) to his firm belief that Willow was intentionally framed for fleeing the site of Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) recent crash. Confidently telling Brook Lynn that they both know exactly who possesses the motive to set Willow up, Chase appears ready to point the finger squarely at Michael.

However, the dramatic irony is thick. It was actually Brook Lynn herself who fled the scene and subsequently set Willow up to take the fall. Because she is harboring this massive, guilty secret, Brook Lynn will definitely squirm as she listens to Chase lay out his confident theory. Meanwhile, Michael will be battling his own internal misgivings. He may openly question whether he is wrong to let his own dirty plans blow up Chase and Brook Lynn’s future together, but Chase’s misguided suspicions could change everything.

Tracy Demands Proof and Danny Blows a Secret Wide Open

Elsewhere, Willow has more than just legal trouble to worry about. She is set to engage in another heated, tense confrontation with the formidable Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). During their argument, Tracy will bluntly bring up the idea of Willow merely being “good by comparison.” The Quartermaine matriarch will demand real proof of Willow’s character, perhaps operating under the assumption that Willow needs to show she is genuinely better than her deranged late twin sister, Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier).

At Turning Woods, a ticking time bomb is about to detonate courtesy of the younger generation. Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) will officially out Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) as the person who actually pulled the trigger on Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes). By divulging this highly sensitive piece of information, Danny will put Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) in an incredibly tight and uncomfortable spot.

Romance, Welcomes, and Hospital Room Heartbreak

In lighter news, Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) has finally made it back to town from her trip to France. Upon her return, she will sit down with Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) to chat about Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) highly anticipated return to Port Charles. For the time being, Gio and Emma will happily take advantage of a little private, quiet time together before the apartment inevitably fills up with guests for Anna’s big welcome home party.

Unfortunately, peace is short-lived outside the General Hospital building. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening), and Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) just witnessed a shocking sight: Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) sharing a sizzling, public smooch with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Now that Valentin is back in Port Charles and putting on such a brazen display of affection with Carly, Lulu must know exactly who was responsible for hiding the fugitive in recent months.

While Lulu should logically rip into Carly in the coming episodes, she may temporarily pivot her attention toward the hospitalized Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean), giving Carly a brief window to visit her daughter. Carly will make her way to Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) hospital room, where she will break down in tears over almost losing her child.

Since the formidable Z (John Oliver) flatly refused to fire Josslyn from the WSB, a desperate Carly will tearfully beg Josslyn to quit the dangerous agency on her own accord. Carly cannot bear the thought of enduring the loss of another child, especially since surviving the tragic death of Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) was already difficult enough.

However, Josslyn is prepared to dig her heels in regarding her future, giving Carly another major reason to fume and worry. Josslyn fully intends to forge ahead with her WSB career. Besides, it isn’t as though Z would even let Josslyn walk away at this point anyway, considering how deeply impressed he is with her recent performance.

Lulu Wants Answers From Valentin

As for Valentin, his public return comes with immediate consequences. He will attempt to take Charlotte off to a quiet place for a private, much-needed conversation so he can explain exactly what transpired during his time in Geneva.

Lulu, however, has absolutely no intention of letting him off easy. She will step in to stop Valentin in his tracks, firmly insisting on having her own fierce faceoff with him instead. Valentin will be forced to defend his controversial actions, setting the stage for an explosive confrontation.

With secrets unraveling and family loyalties pushed to the brink, Port Charles is a powder keg waiting to explode. Will Brook Lynn confess the truth before Chase destroys his relationship with Michael over a lie?
