General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Makes Tempting Offer to Save Nina from Legal Disaster

According to General Hospital spoilers for the week of September 14–18, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has no idea she is standing in the crosshairs of a major WSB investigation. Thanks to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) shifting the heat, William Baines (Alimi Ballard) is locking his focus on Nina as the primary suspect in Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) vanishing act—and the impending fallout threatens to shatter her world.
Federal Ambushes, Panicked Meetings, and Family Fears
The drama accelerates during the week of September 14–18 when Agent Baines ambushes Nina without warning. The federal agent puts her through a rigorous interrogation regarding her connection to Jack.
It does not take long for a stunned Nina to realize that Brennan has completely disappeared and that authorities actively suspect her of causing his vanishing act. The intense pressure plunges Nina into total panic mode. Terrified of where this federal probe might lead, she quickly calls a family meeting to deal with the crisis.
Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is set to be just as deeply unsettled as Nina once the explosive details of the Brennan situation blow up. Horrified that the WSB is digging through her personal life, Nina also worries that the PCPD could get dragged into the investigation, making her legal jeopardy far worse.
Sonny Steps Up with a Tempting Proposal
As the walls close in around Nina, help arrives from an unexpected place. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) meets with his former flame at the Metro Court Gardens and delivers a tempting offer. Even though the two are no longer together romantically, they remain on good terms and still care about each other’s well-being. Unwilling to sit back and watch Nina face serious criminal trouble, Sonny makes a pitch to come to her rescue and take the heat off her.
Realizing she needs all the support she can get, Nina gets on board with Sonny’s proposal. True to his word, Sonny moves quickly to gather intelligence. He later pumps ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) for information, hoping to learn how much the district attorney’s office knows about the Brennan saga through their legal connections.
Sonny aims to use any insider knowledge to Nina’s advantage, though Justine may not have concrete facts to share—or she may be unwilling to divulge sensitive information to Sonny just to help him rescue his ex-wife.
Self-Sabotage and Drew’s Deadly Frame-Up
Despite Sonny’s attempts to protect her, Nina faces two massive problems that could completely destroy her defense.
First, Nina threatens to become her own worst enemy. As the overwhelming pressure gets the best of her, she risks making critical errors that could make her appear guilty to federal authorities.
Second, a far more sinister trap has already been set for her behind the scenes. Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) deliberately planted Brennan’s wallet underneath Nina’s car seat to frame her for his disappearance.
That planted wallet is destined to be discovered eventually, and its location will spark utter disaster for Nina. Spoilers confirm that Brennan’s fatal ordeal will land Nina in extremely tight spots, leaving her struggling to prove her innocence against a carefully calculated setup.
