Nina received a phone call from Willow Cain informing her that Jack Brennan was making immediate arrangements to send Willow and her children overseas with completely new identities—a safety net he offered to extend to Nina as well.
The emergency exit plan became necessary after Brennan realized his WSB secure “black box” was missing from Wyndemere. Without the black box, the leverage they had been relying on to keep Drew quiet about Willow’s crimes was officially gone.
Unbeknownst to most, Drew had secretly regained his ability to speak—a major development he kept hidden even from his own daughter, Scout Cain, who was nearby practicing competitive swimming in the lake and doing well.
However, once Drew and Nina were left completely alone on the boathouse deck, Drew decided to drop his silent act. Below the surface, Drew remains strapped to the heavy chair. Meanwhile, inside the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn Quartermaine Chase suggests to Metro Court lifeguard Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri that he take another swim in the lake before heading out for the day.
It remains a big question whether Nina will stick around long enough to see if Gio rescues Drew. Viewers are wondering if Nina will panic and flee the scene before Gio arrives, assuming Drew has already drowned.
