The body sits on a nature preserve situated on land originally donated by the late Monica Quartermaine—a location where humans are not even supposed to venture. Adding to the evidence trail, Ava Jerome, who acted as an accessory in both Brennan’s death and secret burial, picked up a tick during the cover-up. That tick will undoubtedly be traced directly back to the woods surrounding the grave.
Even if Ava hesitates to cooperate fully with Dr. Isaiah Gannon and the CDC regarding her condition, that doesn’t mean Outback won’t return from the woods carrying the exact same type of tick. That physical evidence could lead authorities to take the persistent beagle seriously and allow the dog to guide investigators directly to Brennan’s shallow grave.
Willow’s Broken Leverage and Drew’s Taunts
The tangled mess stems back to when Nina tried to eliminate Drew by pushing him into the lake at the Quartermaine boathouse. Willow Tait was left deeply shaken when Drew survived that aquatic push, leading Willow and Nina to make a high-stakes deal with Jack.
