General Hospital Spoilers: Lucy Plots Serena Seduction Scheme—Will She Target Michael or Jason?
Corporate warfare and manipulative games are about to hit an all-time high in Port Charles, and Lucy Coe is preparing to pull out all the stops to keep control of her beloved company. With major executive shake-ups restructuring the power dynamic at Deception, Lucy may concoct a sneaky plot involving her surrogate daughter, Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger). But as Serena makes her long-awaited return to town on Thursday, July 30, Lucy’s ambitious plotting could easily backfire in ways she never saw coming.
Michael Corinthos Takes Power at Deception
The landscape at Deception is undergoing a massive transformation due to Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) sudden departure. Maxie is heading off to Australia with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and their family, a move that prompted her to sell her company shares directly to Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson).
Now installed as a part owner of Deception, Michael has sworn up and down that he will strictly do what is best for the business. He insists he won’t cast votes based on what the other Quartermaines in the company desire. However, viewers know all too well how close Michael is with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot)—and just how persuasive Tracy can be when she wants to sway a vote.
Seeing the threat Michael poses to her executive control, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) could formulate a scheme to use Serena to gain the upper hand. Desperate to protect her standing, Lucy might suggest that Serena use her charm to seduce Michael, hoping to influence his voting rights at Deception.
Seduction Struggles and Michael’s Loyalty
Executing such a bold seduction plot won’t be a walk in the park. Michael is currently in a relationship with Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell). While Michael and Jacinda might not be walking down the aisle anytime soon, it remains hard to believe that Michael would cheat on his girlfriend.
Even if Serena attempts to get close to Michael to carry out Lucy’s corporate bidding, fans are left wondering whether she could actually succeed in swaying his loyalty or if the plan will crash and burn right out of the gate.
A Surprising Shift: Could Serena Connect with Jason Morgan?
As Serena spends more time around the Quartermaine mansion trying to get close to Michael, her attention might end up drifting toward an entirely different Port Charles resident. Spoilers suggest that Serena and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) could end up sparking a genuine connection. Teasers confirm that Jason will not be reuniting with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) once he settles back into his daily life in Port Charles, leaving him completely open for a new chapter.
As Serena crosses paths with Stone Cold at the Q mansion, she might find herself forming an unexpected bond with him. Given everything Jason has endured recently, any potential romance between him and Serena would likely be a slow-burn relationship.
Naturally, Lucy will be utterly furious if Serena strays from the original Deception scheme. To make matters worse, Lucy would likely despise seeing her surrogate daughter getting involved with a mob henchman like Jason. Still, as Serena navigates her return, viewers are left to ponder whether daytime fans would ultimately embrace this surprising pairing.
With Serena returning on July 30, will Lucy’s corporate seduction scheme succeed, or will Serena’s growing interest in Jason throw the entire plot off course?
