Anna’s Disturbed Mind and Peter’s Dangerous Demands
Anna remains far from fully recovered following her release from a mental health facility in France. She is still suffering from vivid, disturbing hallucinations of Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Worse yet, rather than fighting off the ghostly intruder, Anna is actively starting to listen to his voice.
Peter has been relentlessly whispering in Anna’s ear, insisting that Britt must be eliminated. His twisted logic centers on the belief that all Faisons are intrinsically evil, taking directly after their father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). Of course, if Anna were to pause and truly evaluate that reasoning, Peter’s argument falls completely flat. Were he still alive, that exact same logic would put a massive target straight on his own back as well.
Despite the obvious flaws in his reasoning, Anna is no longer pushing back against these persistent visions. Peter is constantly in her face and echoing in her mind, appearing as both a visual and auditory hallucination.
What makes Anna’s current state so profoundly terrifying is her total lack of resistance. She is no longer attempting to fight against Peter’s prodding, nor is she reminding herself that he isn’t real. She isn’t reacting to him with the hostility she showed toward the fake Faison, who was likely Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes). Her complete surrender to these visions signals that she is beginning to treat Peter as a real, terrifying force that must be obeyed.
Liesl’s Warning to Willow and Deep Dislike for Anna
Liesl’s suspicion toward Anna has been building for some time. Recently, Liesl issued a stern warning to Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) while celebrating Willow’s divorce from Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) alongside Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) at the Metro Court Gardens.
When Willow announced her intention to persuade Anna into reopening Drew’s shooting case—a case in which Willow had previously been exonerated—both Liesl and Nina strongly advised against it. Liesl specifically warned Willow not to get on Anna’s bad side.
