A Terrifying Discovery at the Metro Court Pool

The nightmare begins when Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) makes a deadly discovery in the Metro Court pool, coming face-to-face with a floating body. There is a strong chance the victim is Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna), following Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) covert move to spike his drink with a powerful sleeping pill. Whether Brennan stumbled into the pool and drowned on his own or was dumped into the water after already dying remains to be seen.

The deadly situation immediately triggers intense panic for Charlotte. Her father, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), only recently secured his freedom and no longer has to live as a fugitive on the run.

However, this shocking discovery instantly throws his safety back into jeopardy. Charlotte realizes that even if her father is not in direct physical danger from a lurking enemy, he could easily find himself implicated in a high-profile murder investigation.

Could Valentin Be Targeted Next?

The fierce rivalry between Jack Brennan and Valentin is well known throughout Port Charles. Brennan famously framed Valentin for a series of Pikeman crimes—many of which Brennan himself was deeply involved in.

That calculated scheme allowed Brennan to abruptly take over as WSB Station Chief and secure his release from Pentonville, while Valentin, who had been running Pikeman operations for him, was forced into hiding as a fugitive.

Because Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and Charlotte do not know the full scope of what went on behind the scenes to cause Brennan’s death, the teens could suspect that a mysterious assailant is actively hunting down former WSB agents. Valentin attended WSB spy school alongside Jack and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), meaning the trio shares a deep history that stretches back long before Anna ever met Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers).

Furthermore, Charlotte knows enough about the deep-seated bad blood between her father and Brennan to fear that someone might be setting Valentin up to take the fall for Brennan’s murder.
