It has been an absolute whirlwind of a week in Port Charles, packed with jaw-dropping turns and intense suspense. During the Monday, August 31 episode, Ava met up with Brennan in a calculated attempt to keep the man distracted. The goal was to give Drew enough time to slip into Brennan’s hotel room and search for the damning blackmail evidence he was holding over him. To ensure Brennan remained preoccupied, Ava managed to slip a sleeping pill into his drink.
The powerful medication took effect almost instantly. Ava struggled to keep him focused on a conversation, leaving the drowsy WSB figure attempting to navigate his way back to his Metro Court room. The last time viewers saw Brennan alive, he was visibly disoriented inside the elevator, repeatedly hitting multiple floor buttons in a fog. The next time he appeared on screen, he was dead—floating upside down in the Metro Court Pool.
