A dangerous war over accountability is erupting in Port Charles, leaving former allies at complete odds and one woman’s freedom hanging in the balance. On the Thursday, September 10 episode of General Hospital, Britt Westbourne is out for blood, determined to make Anna Devane pay for what she did. However, Jason Morgan steps in to shift the ultimate power decision elsewhere, placing Anna’s fate entirely in Josslyn Jacks’ hands.
Britt Demands Justice as Jason Leaves Anna’s Fate to Josslyn
Britt Westbourne is completely resolute in her mission to destroy Anna Devane. Outraged over Anna’s actions, Britt can be seen yelling in the preview clip that Anna absolutely has to pay for what she did.
However, Jason Morgan takes a different approach. Jason sits down with Josslyn Jacks and firmly insists that only she can decide whether to turn Anna in to the authorities. While Josslyn has the option to expose everything to the WSB, she may ultimately agree with Jason’s perspective that sweeping the matter under the rug is the better path.
That potential cover-up certainly will not sit well with a vengeful Britt. In response, Jason will soon deliver a stern warning to Britt, likely arguing that she needs to let Anna’s actions slide given Anna’s current mental instability. Furthermore, Jason may remind Britt that she is hardly guilt-free herself; Britt kept quiet when she first discovered Anna was being held captive on Spoon Island, directly contributing to the severity of Anna’s mental health crisis.
Chase Reports Brook Lynn as Anna Summons Dante
Meanwhile, the legal fallout from the hit-and-run accident reaches a turning point. Harrison Chase informs Joe Fitzpatrick that he can finally close the book on the Ashford accident investigation. Knowing that Trina Robinson would likely spill the truth to the PCPD anyway, Chase decides he should be the one to officially report his own wife, Brook Lynn Quartermaine, for fleeing the crash scene.
After opening up to Dante Falconeri about his marital turmoil, Chase’s conversation is interrupted when Dante gets summoned directly to Anna’s place. Recognizing she is in no condition to continue serving as Police Commissioner, Anna may officially hand the reins back to Dante.
Though Dante will naturally have pressing questions, Anna may avoid giving up every detail right away. Still, she admits that her mental health is far more fragile than she let on, warning Dante that Britt could file criminal charges against her. Anna instructs Dante that if Britt does reach out to file a report, he must do his duty as an officer without giving her special treatment.
Emma Battles Guilt While Tracy Warns of Total Ruin
Over with Anna’s family, Emma Scorpio-Drake is overcome with regret, wishing she had recognized much sooner that her grandmother was secretly spiraling. While heavy guilt weighs on Emma, Anna assures her granddaughter that there was absolutely nothing she could have done differently to prevent the situation.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Tracy Quartermaine delivers a harsh dose of reality to Brook Lynn. Tracy argues that an ongoing emotional and legal spiral could have catastrophic consequences for Brook Lynn as well as baby Phoebe Chase.
Whether Tracy is referring to Trina’s downward spiral, Chase’s personal collapse, or both, Brook Lynn is forced into immediate damage control to protect her family. To make matters worse, Trina is about to receive an unwanted visitor, leaving her wondering where they go from here—a confrontation that could involve a tense, career-focused showdown with Brook Lynn.
With Britt demanding vengeance, Chase turning on his wife, and Josslyn holding the key to Anna’s future, the stage is set for an explosive showdown. Will Josslyn protect Anna for the greater good, or will Britt force Dante to put hand cuffs on Port Charles’ former top cop?
