Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) permanently destroyed her friendship with Gwen when she chose to dive into bed with Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer).
Granted, Gwen and Xander did not have an official, fully committed relationship at that specific point, and their romantic activities were ultimately limited to the bedroom. However, Kristen was fully aware of just how deeply Gwen cared about Xander. Kristen crossed a major line anyway, prioritizing her own desires over her friend’s emotional well-being.
When Gwen initially shared the harrowing details of Kristen’s betrayal, Gabi was absolutely mortified on her behalf. In fact, Gabi actively cheered Gwen on when she learned that a massive catfight had ensued, resulting in Gwen furiously pulling out actual chunks of Kristen’s hair in the chaotic aftermath. Given Gabi’s intense support, it would be highly ironic if Gwen turned around and committed a nearly identical social sin.
