Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Tate and Holly Reconcile After Sarah and Brady Turn Corner

The walls are rapidly closing in from every angle, and a web of lies is finally starting to unravel in Salem. Days of Our Lives spoilers for Tuesday, July 28, reveal that EJ DiMera is being forced to face the music as Marlena Evans lays out every single thing he has done wrong. Meanwhile, a crucial realization from Xander Kiriakis offers a glimmer of hope that could finally clear Holly Jonas’ name and pave the way for an emotional reconciliation.

Marlena Challenges EJ to Face the Consequences

EJ finds himself under siege on all fronts. Between Kristen, Holly, and Gwen, the list of people affected by his scheming continues to grow. Marlena steps in to confront EJ directly, urging him to look in the mirror, reflect on his recent misdeeds, and actually make amends for the chaos he has caused.

Needless to say, EJ did not ask for Doc’s unsolicited advice. Rather than listening to Marlena tell him to feel bad about his choices, EJ would much prefer chatting with Stefano’s portrait for validation.

Whether EJ can run from his conscience much longer remains to be seen, but Marlena is determined to make him feel the full weight of his actions.

Kate Hopes Roman Can Forgive Her Betrayal

Across town, marital tension reaches a breaking point between Kate and Roman. Kate has admitted to her husband that she was the one who lured Johnny into making a foolish decision.

While Kate is sorry for her actions and regrets lying to Roman’s face about the scheme, her internal justification remains messy. She feels that in the grand scheme of her long history, this is hardly the worst thing she has ever pulled off.

Kate finds herself frustrated that Roman is treating this latest deception as a total dealbreaker. After all, Roman knew exactly who he was marrying when he said his vows, and if he didn’t realize what she was capable of, she feels that is partly on him.

Despite her defensiveness, Kate still delivers her apology in hopes that Roman can find a way to get past her betrayal and forgive her.

Xander’s Discovery Could Finally Clear Holly’s Name

Meanwhile, a breakthrough memory gives Holly’s loved ones a fresh perspective on her sudden drug crisis. Xander remembers a crucial detail: he left Holly’s bag completely unattended for a few minutes while he was showing Sarah a video of Victoria.

Connecting the dots, Xander realizes that someone easily could have slipped the pills into her bag during those unmonitored moments.

While Xander doesn’t have hard evidence to prove his theory yet—let alone identify who actually planted the drugs—his deduction is entirely correct.

Holly Forgives Tate and the Young Couple Reconciles

Xander’s theory is enough to convince both Sarah and Brady. Realizing they may have misjudged the situation entirely, they let go of their suspicions and tell Holly they no longer believe she is lying about being a drug addict.

With Sarah and Brady fully back on her side, Tate gets on board as well. Tate and Holly sit down to work through the lingering pain, leading Holly to forgive him for doubting her.

With trust restored among her inner circle, Holly and Tate officially manage to find their way back together, putting their relationship back on solid ground.

Can Xander uncover hard evidence to prove his theory before EJ’s schemes destroy more lives in Salem?
