Theo’s world has been turned completely upside down by recent family revelations. He has had to grapple with the disturbing news that his late, beloved nonno, Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo), was actually the mastermind behind his mother Lexie Carver’s (Nikki Crawford) fatal brain tumor. To make matters worse, his father, Abe Carver (James Reynolds), recently confessed that he worked behind the scenes with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) to actively block Theo from his rightful place at DiMera Enterprises.
Initially, Theo was hesitant to burden Stephanie with his heavy family baggage. However, he was more than happy to listen as Stephanie opened up and trauma-dumped about the growing cracks in her marriage to Alex. What started as two old friends commiserating over a few drinks quickly took a turn, with distinct romantic sparks beginning to flicker in the air between them. Alex’s Night at the Salem Inn Stirs Up Trouble
While Stephanie was finding comfort in Theo’s company, her frustration only intensified when she learned that Alex was spending the night at the Salem Inn with Joy. Factual spoilers confirm that Alex’s motivations were entirely innocent. He was simply trying to help Joy care for baby Kelsey Kiriakis (Mira Belle Chase). Joy was dealing with severe whiplash and pain following a recent car accident, making it incredibly difficult for her to manage the infant alone. Furthermore, Theo is very much single and has not had a serious romantic interest since returning to Salem. Although he initially harbored a brief crush on Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez), his connection with Stephanie carries the potential for something far more significant and long-lasting.
