Days of Our Lives Spoilers: EJ Rehires Cat Greene Before Their Unexpected Kiss

Life in Salem is about to turn upside down as a medical emergency triggers a dangerous domino effect. Over the next two weeks, from October 5 to October 16, Days of Our Lives will deliver high-stakes confrontations, long-hidden family secrets, and manipulative schemes on the verge of collapsing. A young girl’s desperate plea for her mother is about to bring two deadly enemies back into the Salem orbit, setting the stage for an unforgettable showdown.
Medical Emergency Summons Kristen and Exposes Sophia
During the week of October 5-9, a dire situation unfolds for Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) when his young daughter, Rachel Black (Lorelei Olivia Mote), suffers a sudden medical crisis. As Rachel lands in serious trouble and tearfully pleads for her mother, a desperate Brady finds himself in a tight spot. To comfort his child, Brady may decide to utilize the emergency telephone number Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) gave him before she vanished.
Far away in Kentucky, Kristen is busy shocking Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd). Living under the alias ‘Amelia’ and wearing a disguise at a local diner, Sophia is terrified by the unexpected run-in with Kristen, who previously tried to wipe her off the map.
Looking ahead to the week of October 12-16, Kristen may drag a captive Sophia back to Salem with her after answering Brady’s SOS call for Rachel. Sophia’s forced return promises to deliver the shock of a lifetime for Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis). A long-awaited face-off between former friends appears imminent, leaving both Tate Black (Leo Howard) and Mason Whitfield (Brandon Butler) stuck right in the middle of the explosive drama.
DiMera Secrets, Police Station Accusations, and Recast News
Back in Salem, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) brings his severe allegations against EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) straight to Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) and Belle Black (Martha Madison) at the Salem PD. On a lighter note at the precinct, Jada carves out private time with Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer), as the soap devotes special attention to deepening their blossoming romance. Viewers will also spot a temporary change on Tuesday, October 6, as General Hospital veteran Tajh Bellow steps in as Theo Carver for one day only, filling in for Tyler Joseph Andrews.
Over at the mansion, EJ corners Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney) to demand how much she truly knows about Dominic Marino. Having overheard part of Rita’s tense confrontation with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), EJ presses to learn if Dominic is actually Marlena’s son with Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo). Though Rita may feign ignorance to match EJ, she clearly harbors vital information.
Eventually, Marlena comes clean to Belle about the stunning possibility that she has another sibling, leaving Belle reeling over her mother’s secret. Meanwhile, Dante Vitali (Franco Lo Presti) pops up in Salem—perhaps carrying out advance orders for Dominic ahead of his arrival—and his interactions leave Sydney DiMera (Sydney Malakeh) feeling deeply suspicious of her soon-to-be stepfather.
Deceptive Games, Romance, and Rising Jealousy
At the hospital, Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) gets discharged and immediately pressures Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) into letting her move in with him under the guise of her fake paralysis. Her deceit faces immediate risk when Stephanie Kiriakis (Abigail Klein) almost catches Joy walking on her own feet, though Joy manages to slide back into her wheelchair in the nick of time. However, suspicions will continue rising for Stephanie—and potentially Alex—during the week of October 12-16. While Joy believes she has her “baby daddy” right where she wants him, she is headed for a rude awakening when Alex catches on and turns the tables.
In young adult drama, Tate grows increasingly weirded out when Holly actually begins bonding with Mason, laughing and joking around in his presence. The new dynamic stirs up jealousy for Tate while sparking genuine concern over whether Holly can truly trust Mason.
Finally, EJ rehires Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) and locks lips with her, but her true mission remains complicated. Even if EJ pretends to place his faith in Cat once more, his actions may ultimately prove to be a calculated ploy.
With Rachel’s life hanging in the balance, Sophia’s cover completely blown, and major family secrets unspooling across town, Salem is headed for maximum turmoil. Will Brady’s emergency phone call to Kristen save Rachel, or will bringing Kristen and Sophia back to town trigger absolute chaos for everyone involved?
