Arsenic Poisoning, DiMera Fury, and a Mother’s Wrath
The drama ignites during the week of July 6-10 with a terrifying medical emergency. Dr. Sarah Horton is slated to make a horrifying realization in her office. Thanks to a strategic clue that Johnny DiMera secretly planted, Sarah will finally figure out that Holly Jonas has been poisoned by arsenic. As Sarah immediately shifts into overdrive to treat the fragile teenager as quickly as possible, Johnny will be busy channeling his absolute fury toward his father. EJ DiMera is set to face the full brunt of Johnny’s wrath over his direct involvement in this entire tainted drug mess.
Johnny won’t be the only one lining up to blast the town’s premier villain. Lexie Carver is also poised to put EJ on full blast. Now that she is tragically facing death once more, Lexie is deeply resentful of the fact that EJ used her for his experimental agendas, leading to a highly emotional confrontation between the two.
Hypnosis Under Marlena and Rafe’s Warning
Meanwhile, Cat Greene is determined to uncover the truth about her own mysterious history. Struggling to make sense of her lingering connection to EJ and past events at the clinic in Italy, Cat decides to take a psychological leap of faith. She will sit down for a formal hypnosis session with Dr. Marlena Evans, hoping to unlock the crucial memories she is currently missing.
However, this deep dive into the past will not sit well with the local authorities. Police Commissioner Rafe Hernandez will feel strongly that Cat is walking straight into a dangerous situation. It appears that EJ will actively intervene regarding the local well water sample results. In an effort to protect his own interests, EJ looks set to manipulate the situation to make it appear as though Holly willingly consumed illegal substances. With pills seemingly being planted to solidify the lie, Holly will be forced to rush to her own defense. Horrified by the lack of support, she will apparently lash out in anger at both Tate Black and Sarah for failing to believe her innocence.
Revenge Bonds and Bedroom Guilt
Moving into the week of July 13-17, the animosity in Salem continues to simmer. Despite Gwen Rizczech’s best efforts, she won’t be able to keep a lid on the brewing drama. Previously, Leo Stark will have tried his best to dial down Gwen’s explosive anger regarding Kristen DiMera’s recent romps with Xander Kiriakis. However, a determined Gwen insists on confronting Kristen directly.
Ironically, Gwen’s spectacular blowups will only serve to push Kristen and Xander even closer together. The two will find themselves bonding deeply over a powerful, shared objective: their mutual desire to completely destroy EJ.
At home, Chanel Dupree DiMera will try to inject some lighthearted energy into her marriage by getting highly inventive during her private bedroom time with Johnny. Unfortunately, the romance will be heavily overshadowed by external pressure. Johnny will deeply struggle with an intense amount of guilt as he continues to harbor the dark secrets regarding his father’s active cover-up.
Finally, the two weeks will wrap up with a sweet milestone. Eli Grant will finally finish up his latest work assignment, freeing him up to give Lani Price-Grant a belated anniversary gift. While Lani will absolutely adore the beautiful necklace Eli presents to her, she will enjoy their subsequent passionate moments together even more.
