Anita’s Articulettes Proposition and Vernon’s Support
The Wednesday episode kicks off with Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) orchestrating an intriguing new proposal for Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant). Anita gets a visit from her Articulettes bandmates, Sharon Winger (Bonita Brisker) and Tracy Tyler (Maria Howell), fueling strong indications that Leslie’s offer involves the musical group’s upcoming tour and new album.

On the other hand, her turmoil could be driven by the lingering revenge scheme she has plotted against Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom). Because Deanna has hesitated to press the button on her plan, she might be wrestling with deep guilt over feeling like she is letting her late father down.
There is a very strong likelihood that a ghostly hallucination or vision of Doug will visit Deanna during the September 2 episode. Such a haunting encounter would only egg on Deanna’s growing guilt, pushing her to reconcile her inaction with her promise of retribution.

Smitty Sees Red Flags: Could Lia’s Death or Heather Blow the Case Open?
Across town, Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning) gets hit with a strong wave of suspicion. His newfound skepticism could be tied directly to the mysterious passing of Lia Whitmore (Cecelia Specht) and the lingering menace known as “The Impaler.” Smitty’s trained eye might catch something inherently off or unnatural about the circumstances surrounding Lia’s demise.
Then again, Smitty could easily have a tense run-in with Heather Armstrong (Ashley Jones). While Heather is known as a smooth, calculated player, she isn’t entirely foolproof. Smitty may catch major red flags if Heather gets careless, slips up, and accidentally utters something incriminating in his presence.
Heather’s massive ego and rampant overconfidence might ultimate serve as her tragic downfall. If her arrogance leads her to drop her guard around Smitty, her carefully guarded secrets could come crashing down around her.
