90 Day Fiancé: Razvan Ciocoi’s Comeback On ‘Hunt for Love’ Clouded By Off-Camera Controversy
When Razvan Ciocoi popped up in the October 5 Season 2 premiere of 90 Day: Hunt for Love, franchise diehards immediately noticed something was off. The Romanian actor and influencer hadn’t been listed in TLC’s official main cast rollout, yet there he was in Puerto Rico, diving straight into the resort drama with Emma Perry and Jamal Menzies. While his unexpected screen time delivered instant entertainment, it also reignited serious lingering questions about how long his stay on the island actually lasted.
Behind the scenes, heavy rumors have hung over Razvan’s involvement for months. Back in June, reports surfaced from TV Insider claiming that production allegedly booted Razvan from filming early after he directed a racial slur at co-star Jamal Menzies. To date, TLC, Razvan, and Jamal have all kept silent regarding the allegation and the reported early departure. However, seeing Razvan front and center in the premiere—despite his omission from promotional materials—has left fans intensely scrutinizing every scene to figure out just how many episodes he filmed before any potential exit occurred.
A High-Stakes Franchise Return
This resort stint marks Razvan’s first major franchise appearance in nearly three years. Viewers originally met him on Before the 90 Days, where his tempestuous romance with widowed mother-of-two Amanda Wilhelm took center stage. Amanda had flown to Romania to meet him after connecting online, but their connection crumbled under the weight of doubts regarding his influencer ambitions and readiness for family life. By the Tell-All, the relationship was over. Amanda has since moved forward in her personal life, entering a new relationship and welcoming another daughter, while Razvan stepped back onto the TV stage to search for a second chance at love.
Yet Razvan’s return instantly entangled him in conflict. From the premiere’s opening moments, he gravitated toward ongoing friction involving Emma Perry and Jamal Menzies, proving that his time on the show would be far from quiet.
Broader Casting Shadows and Resort Drama
Razvan isn’t the only cast member at the resort shadowed by off-camera misconduct allegations. Another contestant, Landon, was similarly accused of repeatedly using the N-word and reportedly faced removal following an internal production investigation. On-screen, Landon attempted to pursue Chloe during the premiere, only for her to swiftly dismiss his advances, calling him “too country.”
Meanwhile, the resort is bustling with other high-profile romantic pursuits. Fresh off his high-profile divorce from Angela Deem, Michael Ilesanmi arrived in Puerto Rico eager for a clean slate and immediately set his sights on Brittany Banks. Brittany didn’t hesitate to acknowledge the mutual spark, openly admitting, “The messy part of me is like, ‘He’s looking good.’”
The Mystery Surrounding Razvan’s Timeline
These overlapping hookups and rivalries have created an explosive season, but the unanswered questions surrounding Razvan continue to dominate online discussion. Because TLC never officially advertised his return, every episode now feels like a countdown.
Until network executives or the cast address the reported incident, viewers are left guessing whether Razvan’s story will simply fade out or end in an abrupt departure. For now, fans can only watch the drama unfold week by week, wondering how much longer the Romanian model will remain at the resort before the truth behind the rumors finally comes to light.
