Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Joy’s Paralysis Lie Exposed? Stephanie Catches Her Red-Handed

The latest preview for the week of October 5 reveals that Salem is on the brink of explosive reveals, heartbreaking family crises, and high-stakes deception. Shockwaves are set to ripple through town as a presumed-dead character reemerges under a new identity, a long-running scheme faces immediate exposure, and a vicious father-son feud takes a decisive turn at the police station.

A Surprising Return at the DiMera Mansion and an Official Strike Against EJ

The action kicks off inside the halls of the DiMera mansion, where Sydney DiMera (Sydney Malakeh) gets caught completely off guard. Deeply focused on her laptop, Sydney is blindsided by the unexpected appearance of Dante Vitali (Franco LoPresti). The fiancé of Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) greets her with a grin, remarking, “Working hard as usual, I see.” The easy familiarity between them hints that their connection may extend beyond a typical stepdaughter and stepfather relationship, leaving viewers to ponder whether there is more to this dynamic than meets the eye.

Meanwhile, Sydney’s brother is making bold moves of his own to dismantle the family empire. Down at the police station, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) meets with Belle Black (Martha Madison) to deliver an official statement. Driven by intense motivation, Johnny makes it abundantly clear that he understands what his father, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), is capable of better than anyone else. Johnny is going all in on his mission to bring EJ down, setting the stage for an all-out war between father and son.

Medical Heartbreak at University Hospital and a Bust in the Making

Over at University Hospital, a deeply emotional crisis unfolds in the pediatric unit. Young Rachel Black (Lorelei Olivia Mote) is in agonizing pain, leaving her father, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), desperate to comfort her. As Brady assures his daughter that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) will take great care of her, a tearful Rachel cries out for the one person she wants most: her mother, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk). The heartbreaking scene highlights the deep emotional strain on Rachel while her mother remains absent from her side.

Simultaneously, a high-stakes secret is hanging by a thread across town. Stephanie Kiriakis (Abigail Klein) arrives outside Alex Kiriakis’ (Robert Scott Wilson) apartment door, where she hears little Kelsey Kiriakis (Mira and Lena Chase) crying inside. Concerned for the baby, Stephanie knocks and calls out to Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) to see if she needs assistance. Inside, Joy hears the knocking and instinctively stands up from her wheelchair right as Stephanie opens the door. With Joy standing on her own two feet, Stephanie may catch her red-handed and finally expose her fake paralysis.

Sophia Choi Is Alive—and Kristen Is Right on Her Tail

The weekly promo wraps up with the biggest bombshell of all: Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) is very much alive. Far away from Salem, Sophia is working at Kay’s Diner, wearing a waitress uniform, sporting lighter hair, and adopting a subtle Southern accent.

Going by the alias ‘Amelia,’ she approaches her next customer with a warm greeting, completely unaware of who is sitting in the booth. The patron lowers her menu, revealing herself to be none other than Kristen DiMera. Kristen greets her directly, asking, “Should I say, Sophia?” leaving a stunned Sophia completely gobsmacked as her secret hideout is shattered in an instant.

With Sophia’s survival exposed, Joy’s deceit on the verge of collapsing, and Johnny taking legal aim at EJ, the upcoming week promises non-stop drama for Salem residents. How will Sophia react to Kristen tracking her down, and will Stephanie blow Joy’s scheme wide open to Alex?
