Since spoilers tease that Carly Spencer is about to make a major discovery, chances are high that Carly herself will be the one who catches Charlotte in the act and shuts her operation down cold. A Soap Opera Digest first look photo captures the intense aftermath, showing Charlotte looking utterly mortified in Carly’s office, her hoodie still partially unzipped with her lacy camisole exposed. Standing in front of her is an enraged Valentin Cassadine, while a thoroughly disgusted Carly stands right behind him.
Valentin’s Parenting Under Fire After Lulu Argument
This confrontation comes on the heels of a heated argument between Charlotte’s parents. Her mother, Lulu Spencer, had just confronted Valentin, accusing him of allowing Charlotte to run wild and acting more like a friend than an actual parent.
Given that backdrop, it is doubtful that Valentin or Carly will blab about this specific bust to Lulu. Both know full well that if Lulu finds out how out of hand things have gotten, Valentin might never be allowed to see his daughter again. However, that does not mean Charlotte is getting off easy. Valentin will be beyond furious over his daughter’s behavior, and he will likely ground Charlotte—perhaps for the rest of her young life!
Carly Lays Out the Collateral Damage of Charlotte’s Plot
Before Valentin even arrives at the Metro Court after being summoned by Carly, Carly will deliver a harsh dose of reality to the teen. She will likely point out that Charlotte’s setup would never have played out the way she envisioned. Charlotte was planning to snap a scandalous shot in the car and threaten Drew with blasting it across social media. But as Carly will likely make clear, Drew would have almost certainly grabbed her phone so fast it would have made her head spin, stopping the blackmail attempt in its tracks.
Furthermore, Drew is well aware that Charlotte spends time hanging out with Danny Morgan, meaning there would have been immediate trickle-down consequences for Danny as well. Even if Charlotte had managed to successfully destroy Drew’s reputation, she would have obliterated her own along with it.
Heartbreaking Consequences for Scout and Danny Avoided
The fallout from Charlotte’s scheme could have ripped through the family in disastrous ways. Charlotte will hear it from all sides as she is reminded of the severe consequences her actions could have inflicted on innocent bystanders—specifically Scout Cain.
If Charlotte’s setup had somehow led to Drew’s arrest, he could have lost legal custody of Scout. In that nightmare scenario, there is no guarantee that grandmother Alexis Davis could step in to secure custody either. The absolute worst outcome—Scout being placed into child protective services—would have separated Danny even further from his sister.
Fortunately, Charlotte is stopped from carrying out her dangerous plan thanks to Danny contacting Aurora and showing up, leading right into Carly’s timely discovery. Charlotte may consider herself lucky if she only ends up grounded until she turns eighteen, even if those two remaining years feel like an eternity to the teenager.
