Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Will Sarah Uncover the Tainted Water Mystery Before It’s Too Late?

The stakes have never been higher in Salem as life-threatening secrets, corporate cover-ups, and venomous personal vendettas take center stage. Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of July 6 to 10, 2026, reveal that the fragile lives of both Holly Jonas and Lexie Carver remain in incredibly precarious positions. As EJ DiMera’s calculated attempts at playing God threaten to implode, a desperate family cover-up will force an unexpected medical gamble, while an unrestrained Kristen DiMera goes on a ruthless warpath to tear down anyone in her way.
EJ and Johnny Maneuver a Deadly DiMera Cover-Up
The central crisis gripping Salem stems directly from the corporate negligence of DiMera Pharmaceuticals. EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel) finds himself backed into a dangerous corner, knowing he absolutely cannot allow anyone to discover the company’s catastrophic mistake. DiMera Pharmaceuticals accidentally dumped arsenic-laced Coriseal pills on Smith Island, resulting in the severe contamination of the Horton cabin water supply.
Faced with the reality that innocent lives are on the line, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) steps up to protect the family empire in his own calculated way. Acting as a loyal son, Johnny orchestrates a silent intervention by slipping into Dr. Sarah Horton’s (Linsey Godfrey) office. He leaves a medical textbook wide open on her desk, explicitly turned to a page detailing the symptoms and treatment of arsenic poisoning.
Johnny hopes this subtle clue will prompt Sarah to launch a proper, targeted investigation into what is actually destroying Holly’s health, rather than continuing to fly blind. Meanwhile, a vulnerable Holly is currently in worse shape than ever. Confined to her hospital bed and fading fast, her physical suffering is compounded by paranoia as she fearfully wonders if Sophia (Rachel Boyd) is still actively coming after her.
Lexie’s Heartbreaking Fury Over Her Stolen Second Chance
While EJ scrambles to keep the arsenic poisoning under wraps, he must also face an agonizing confrontation with a deeply resentful Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford). The harsh reality of Lexie’s medical prognosis has finally set in: she isn’t going to make it. This definitive failure means that EJ’s ambitious, arrogant quest to successfully unlock the secrets of eternal life has officially fallen short.
Lexie is entirely consumed by fury and heartbreak, directing her immense grief straight at her brother. She lashes out at EJ for granting her a temporary second chance at life, raging that his interference only served to let her fall deeply in love with Abe Carver (James Reynolds) all over again, just for that joy to be cruelly ripped away from them a second time.
Kristen Drops a Legacy Bombshell and Ruthlessly Destroys Gwen
Elsewhere in Salem, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) is on an absolute tear, selfishly pursuing her own desires without a single shred of remorse. She begins her path of destruction by targeting Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews). In a shocking move, Kristen informs a reeling Theo that the original reason he lost his mother years ago was due to the dark machinations of the late Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo).
Kristen brutally reveals that Stefano was the individual responsible for giving Lexie her fatal brain tumor in the first place. While Stefano’s twisted actions originally ended his precious Alexandra’s life, Kristen notes that it was those exact same regrets that left him fiercely determined to find a way to eventually bring her back from the dead.
But Kristen’s venomous streak does not stop with the Carver family. Having recently discovered that Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) and Kristen have been actively two-timing her, a devastated Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) finally decides to confront the woman she genuinely believed was her true friend. Kristen, however, has no intention of apologizing or taking Gwen’s tears lying down. Instead, she strikes back with a vicious personal insult.
“Maybe you needed to do more to keep Xander satisfied,” Kristen cruelly retorts.
The low blow leaves a completely stunned Gwen to process the absolute destruction of both her romantic relationship and her closest friendship.
Stephanie’s Frustration Could Lead to a Tragic Misstep
Rounding out the week, a domestic drama is brewing between Stephanie Kiriakis (Abigail Klein) and an increasingly persistent Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins). Stephanie’s patience has completely worn thin, and she finds herself growing more annoyed with Joy than ever before.
The tension hits a critical peak when Stephanie notices Joy’s name actively flashing as an incoming call on Alex’s (Robert Scott Wilson) smartphone. Choosing to follow her frustrations, Stephanie purposefully declines the call to shut Joy out. While Stephanie is completely exhausted by what she perceives as Joy constantly crying wolf, her decision to cut off communication could prove to be a massive mistake. Viewers are left wondering if this time, away from the typical drama, there really is a genuine, life-altering emergency happening behind the scenes.
As the pieces of the DiMera poisoning scandal slowly come to light and Kristen’s path of emotional destruction leaves Salem reeling, the fallout from these choices will permanently alter lives. Will Johnny’s anonymous medical clue be enough to save Holly’s life before the arsenic does permanent damage, or will the DiMera family secrets claims more innocent lives?
