What starts as a puzzling disappearance quickly unravels into a high-stakes crime scene at the Metro Court, leaving law enforcement, local residents, and panic-stricken conspirators on a collision course.
A Hacked Metro Court and Missing Pool Towels Raise Red Flags
An investigation will soon begin into Jack Brennan’s disappearance and eventual murder, forcing investigators to question whether the recent Metro Court security hack is directly connected to his death. There’s no doubt that Jason Morgan and Carly Spencer will have to report the crime, though the situation grows increasingly bizarre as missing pool towels and a missing laundry cart add to the expanding mystery.
When Jason and Carly searched Brennan’s room, Jason could immediately tell that someone had been frantically searching for something. Crucially, whoever breached the suite failed to cover their tracks, leaving behind subtle clues.
Adding another layer of chaotic complication to the situation are Danny Morgan and Charlotte Cassadine. The teens left Brennan as a floater in the Metro Court pool and swore each other to total secrecy. However, they may end up asking their fathers for help as the walls close in. Danny will come clean to his dad, but at this point, it’s a wait-and-see situation regarding what he actually confesses. Viewers are wondering whether Danny will admit to finding Brennan’s body in the pool or if he will stick to confessing about putting a dent in Harrison Chase’s car after “borrowing” it. If Drew and Ava do a thorough job of burying Brennan’s corpse, there is a strong chance his body may not be found for quite some time. Yet despite their extreme care to slip out with the body undetected, they are sure to leave clues behind along the way—and that is precisely where Joe and Chase come into play.
Chase and Joe Connect the Dots to a Murder Investigation
As Joe and Chase sit down to compare notes, it will quickly become glaringly obvious that Brennan’s disappearance and the Metro Court security system hack are inextricably linked. This connection will be even harder to deny if Jason and Carly officially report that Brennan’s private suite was breached.
The detectives will be forced to ask the burning question: Was Brennan kidnapped, or did something far worse happen behind closed doors? The Metro Court will transform into an active crime scene, making it an exceptionally difficult puzzle for the PCPD to solve with the security systems completely offline and no working cameras to review.
However, if the intruder who breached Brennan’s suite looking for something failed to cover their tracks inside the room, chances are they were just as careless everywhere else along their path. At that point, whether a body is officially recovered or not, the case will escalate into a full-blown murder investigation.
With Chase and Joe closing in, Josslyn summoning the WSB, and Drew and Ava praying their buried secret stays underground, the tension in Port Charles has reached a boiling point.
