Chanel’s Ultimatum: Johnny Must Choose Between His Two Families
The dramatic tension builds after Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) wastes no time tattling to Chanel about Johnny’s ongoing expressions of loyalty toward his father, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). Refusing to tolerate any allegiance to EJ, Paulina stirs the pot, and Chanel firmly agrees that a line must be drawn.
Now that Chanel and Johnny are raising two children together, Chanel’s patience has entirely run out. She insists that enough is enough—Johnny must sever all communication and contact with his father once and for all.
Driven by her desire for stability and her frustration over EJ’s toxic influence, Chanel demands that Johnny put his immediate family first. Her unyielding stance leaves Johnny trapped in a difficult spot, forced to consider whether he is willing to risk his wife’s happiness and the peace of his household just to stay connected to his father.
International Shadow: Someone Watches EJ, Chad, and Belle
Meanwhile, the mystery surrounding the chessboard that Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) willed to Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) takes a spine-tingling turn. Belle Black (Martha Madison), Chad DiMera (Conner Floyd), and EJ find themselves at complete odds regarding how to handle the artifact and its hidden secrets.
With completely different motives driving their next steps, the trio decides to go their separate ways. However, as EJ, Chad, and Belle split up, none of them realize that a mysterious figure is quietly shadowing their every move.
The identity of this secret observer remains a major question mark. Viewers are left to wonder if the stalker could be Rita (Maggie Carney).
Rita is no stranger to going rogue and ignoring orders, having previously gone behind EJ’s back when she stashed the Salem Water Executive away in one of Dr. Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) death-defying pods. If Rita is acting on her own accord once again, there is no telling what else she might be hiding from EJ.
Holly Unloads Her Problems on Tate
Elsewhere, Tate Black (Leo Howard) has made the big decision to skip college entirely to jump straight into running his own business. Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) was initially bummed by his choice, mostly because she prefers having Tate readily available whenever she needs him.
However, Holly has calmed down significantly after coming to a key realization. She realizes that even if they aren’t attending the same university, she can still go running to Tate with all her personal drama and rely on him as her go-to confidant.
Taking full advantage of their connection, Holly unloads her latest frustrations on Tate. Her current anxiety appears to center around Mason Whitfield (Brandon Butler) and his sudden, unexplainable hostility toward her.
