The bond between Cyrus Renault and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) was one of the most fraught, emotionally charged dynamics in recent Port Charles history. Off-screen, however, Jeff Kober holds nothing but immense respect and admiration for the daytime icon. In a recent chat with People, Kober made it abundantly clear that Francis is the main driving force behind any potential trip back to the studio.
“I love to work and I would do anything with Genie,” Kober expressed when discussing the possibility of stepping back into Cyrus’s shoes. “She’s a great actress and a fantastic scene partner.”
Kober went on to praise Francis’s fearless approach to acting, noting, “She’s someone who’ll go anywhere you want to go with them.” Because of that unique creative trust, Kober confirmed that if executive producers ever extend an offer for him to return for material alongside Francis, he would jump at the chance.
