The holiday weekend kicks off with a heartwarming milestone for the town’s younger set. It has officially been one full year since Sophia Choi famously gave birth entirely on her own in her bedroom, relying on nothing but a YouTube instructional video. Now, little Trey is hitting his first birthday, and it is time for a proper celebration.
The Price and Carver families are actively making the conscious decision to put their ongoing differences completely aside for a single day. They are coming together to show their support for Johnny DiMera and Chanel Dupree DiMera as the proud young parents celebrate their little boy. Johnny and Chanel will take a quiet moment during the festivities to discuss the past year of their lives and reflect fondly on their growing family.
However, questions linger regarding some of the party guests. Viewers are left wondering whether Lexie Carver will even show her face at the birthday gathering, or if she will find herself far more interested in taking in the spectacular holiday fireworks alongside Abe Carver over in Horton Town Square. EJ’s current mission revolves around the terrifying arsenic debacle unfolding over on Smith Island. He is frantically trying to find a clever way to ensure that Sarah Horton knows exactly how to treat arsenic poisoning, but he has to do it without arousing a single shred of suspicion regarding the contaminated water supply at the Horton cabin.
To pull this off, EJ turns to his son for help. Spoilers indicate that Johnny will eventually be spotted sneaking around a local medical office, looking highly suspicious. This shady behavior has viewers questioning the chances that EJ has successfully managed to hoodwink his son into covering up the toxic crisis.
Awkward Confrontations and Bedroom Fireworks
Meanwhile, the holiday romance scene is heating up over at The Bistro, which proves to be the absolute happening place to be this Independence Day. Two prominent Salem couples have booked dates at the establishment at the exact same time: Chad DiMera and Belle Black, alongside Jada Hunter and Shawn Brady.
Having these specific dynamics in the same room is bound to trigger some intensely awkward moments between the two couples. Shawn and Belle will both make it perfectly clear to one another that they are officially moving on with other people, cementing the end of their past chapters.
Before Belle can fully lose herself in the romance of her dinner date, however, she has to deal with a maternal warning. As for the other couple sharing the restaurant space, Jada and Shawn are ready to take their holiday chemistry to the next level. After wrapping up their time at the restaurant, the two decide to take the party back to Jada’s place—where Shawn has already been temporarily staying. Safe inside their own private sanctuary, Shawn and Jada will fully yield to their attraction and enjoy some fireworks of their own directly in the bedroom.
