Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Tragic Funeral Plans, High-Stakes Gambling, and Leo’s Reunion
Tragedy, medical terror, and long-awaited reunions are about to shake Salem to its core. According to Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of August 24-28, 2026, residents will gather to say a final farewell to one of their own amidst heartbreak, high-stakes financial gambles, and sudden medical emergencies. As grief hangs heavily over the Carver family, romantic spark reignite and multi-million dollar gambles reach their dramatic resolution.
Javi’s Realization and Leo’s Heroic Return
Rafe Hernandez has noticed for a while that Javi Hernandez is still deeply in love with Leo Stark, and he has been actively trying to get Javi to see the light. Despite Javi’s previous insistence that his chapter with Leo was permanently closed, his heart clearly tells a different story. It appears Javi was simply using Gus as a comforting safety net following his painful split from Leo.
Once Javi accepts the truth and realizes his relationship with Gus isn’t built to last, he prepares to reunite with the man he truly loves. Although Javi might proceed with a bit of caution to protect his heart, he knows in his soul that Leo is his person, and he will make his feelings known soon enough.
Meanwhile, Dr. Marlena Evans will feel immense relief upon seeing Leo safely back in Salem and completely free from Dimitri von Leuschner. Marlena was deeply concerned when she learned Leo had chosen to remain behind in Alamainia, but she lacked the full context of his sacrifice. Leo actually sacrificed himself to ensure Gwen Rizczech’s safety before ultimately convincing Dimitri to let him return home. Dimitri is now attempting to turn his life around and become a better person just like Leo, a bit of positive news that Leo may share with Dr. Evans upon his return.
Romantic Sparks, Tragic Loss, and a Birth Crisis
Elsewhere in Salem, romance is brewing in unexpected places. Foster and Julie Williams are ready to give locking lips another shot. Their previous attempt at a romantic kiss was suddenly interrupted by JJ Deveraux, but confirmed spoilers reveal that their actual first kiss is still to come in the days ahead.
On a much darker note, the heartbreaking aftermath of Lexie Carver’s demise leaves Theo Carver in desperate need of comfort and support. Viewers are wondering if Stephanie Johnson will step up to be the shoulder Theo leans on during his darkest hour. At the same time, Abe Carver must navigate his own heavy grief over this devastating loss, with Paulina Price likely stepping in to support her husband through the tragic emotional fallout.
Eventually, funeral arrangements must be made, adding another heavy burden to Abe and Theo’s plates during their despair. The grieving father and son may ultimately decide on planning a small, intimate memorial service to bid their final goodbye.
Adding to their mounting terror, Abe and Theo will also find themselves fretting over Chanel DiMera’s childbirth going horribly wrong. Chanel’s labor will involve a lot of blood and scary, life-threatening moments, forcing Abe to console a panicked Paulina through a terrifying crisis as they pray for Chanel and the baby’s survival.
