A bitter battle over family ties and parental control is coming to a dramatic head in Port Charles. On General Hospital, spoilers hint that Scout Cain is so utterly fed up with her father Drew Cain’s domineering tactics that she wants to file an official emancipation request. Inheriting plenty of grit from her mother, the late Sam McCall, Scout proves gutsy enough to follow through with the legal threat.
Scout’s motivation is not rooted in a desire to cut her father out completely or stop loving him. Instead, she simply refuses to lose the blood relatives on her mother’s side of the family just to keep a relationship with him.
Drew’s overbearing behavior seems to have become a full-time pursuit, largely driven by his jealousy toward Jason Morgan. Because of that feud, Drew is actively trying to keep Scout away from Danny Morgan and the rest of her maternal family.
