Emotional Comfort and Heartbreak After Kristen’s Sudden Exit
Heartbreak, emotional comfort, and high-stakes corporate panic are taking center stage in Salem. In the August 12 sneak peek photos for Days of Our Lives, Rachel Black’s return home from Bayview is heavily tainted by her mother’s sudden departure. Kristen DiMera leaving town without warning has left young Rachel feeling both profoundly sad and intensely angry.
Fortunately for the young girl, Brady Black steps up to be the supportive father she needs during this painful transition. Sneak peek images capture Rachel opening up to her dad. Brady manages to brighten her spirits, as subsequent photos show the young girl actually cracking a smile.
Sarah Horton also appears in several of the preview photos, receiving a warm, big hug from Rachel. When left alone, however, Brady and Sarah share a decidedly tense conversation. Their serious chat could center around Kristen’s vanishing act or the escalating financial nightmare currently threatening Titan Industries. Whatever the exact topic of their worry, it does not keep them apart emotionally, as Brady is seen pulling Sarah in close in a comforting moment.
Corporate Panic and Secretive Moves at Titan
Meanwhile, EJ DiMera calling in the massive Titan loan casts a dark cloud over the Kiriakis family. Several preview images focus on Xander Kiriakis and Sarah at the Kiriakis mansion. While they appear to enjoy each other’s company in one brief moment, another shot captures Xander wearing a distinctly grossed-out expression.
The remaining mansion images are thick with worry and underlying tension. One particularly telling photo shows Xander standing with his hand buried in his pocket, looking as though he is actively concealing something from Sarah. Whatever secret Xander is hiding does not look promising, and it almost certainly stems from his desperate efforts to salvage Titan from financial ruin.
Over at the Titan offices, Gabi Hernandez and Philip Kiriakis meet up for a serious discussion. Spoilers reveal that Philip fills Gabi in on a highly risky proposal to save the failing company. However, the two executives are clearly not on the same page. Both Gabi and Philip look visibly frustrated in several preview photos, and when Xander pops up at the office, he appears just as miserable as his colleagues.
Gym Workouts, Park Surprises, and Teen Romance
On a far brighter note, Salem’s younger generation gets a welcome break from the relentless family chaos. Tate Black and Aaron Greene hit the gym together for a workout and a heart-to-heart. As they pump iron, Tate appears to be actively trying to convince Aaron of something important.
Later on, Tate and Aaron catch up with Holly Jonas and Ari Horton in the park. Based on the preview photos, it appears Aaron and Ari organize a surprise park hang for Tate and Holly. The setup works brilliantly, leaving Tate and Holly all smiles as they chat with their friends.
The group is also spotted hanging out in Horton Town Square, which might be the subtle trick Ari and Aaron use to lure Tate and Holly over to the park in the first place.
Additionally, a couple of sneak peek photos capture Ari and Aaron enjoying some intimate alone time. The duo even shares a kiss in one photo, leaving viewers to wonder if Aaron’s potential romance with Ari was the exact topic he and Tate were discussing back at the gym.
Between Xander’s secretive moves, Philip’s risky pitch, and the teens enjoying a romantic break, Salem is packed with drama. Will Philip’s desperate plan save Titan, or will Xander’s secrets tear his world apart?
