General Hospital Spoilers: Anna Devane’s Dangerous Visions Could Lead Straight to Ferncliff

Disturbing Visions and Unhinged Revenge Point to Ferncliff

Mental health crises and deadly spirals are threatening to consume two prominent Port Charles residents, raising the dark possibility that a familiar psychiatric facility could soon re-enter the picture. Ferncliff hasn’t been featured on General Hospital in a while, but it appears possible that the show may be setting up a return to the institution as a couple of key characters head for major trouble down the road.

At the center of this looming danger is Anna Devane. Although Anna managed to fool her doctors in France into believing she was mentally stable, she clearly should not have been released from her mental health clinic. Anna remains in desperate need of treatment, as she continues to experience constant, harrowing visions of the deceased Peter August.

These hallucinations are far from harmless. “Peter” keeps popping up to pressure Anna into taking a risky and lethal path, putting Britt Westbourne in extreme danger. Because “Peter” wants Anna to kill Britt, fans are speculating that Anna might eventually cave in and attempt to take Britt’s life.

However, carrying out deadly plans while talking to a ghost is completely unsustainable for Port Charles’ police commissioner. If Anna goes after Britt and gets caught, her criminal behavior will inevitably expose the truth about her ongoing mental health struggles. Once the reality comes out, a commitment to Ferncliff could easily become Anna’s future at the conclusion of this disturbing storyline.

Nina Worries as Willow Spins Out of Control

Meanwhile, Willow Cain might be facing a stint at Ferncliff of her own. Nina Reeves is growing increasingly concerned about the reckless risks her daughter is taking and the potential for Willow’s vengeful choices to completely backfire.

Nina was already unsettled even before the chaotic attempted murder and fake stroke drama played out with Drew Cain. She realized early on that Willow must have been the one stalking Daisy Gilmore. Since then, Willow’s storyline has taken her even further off the rails through everything that transpired with Drew, making it entirely understandable why Nina remains so deeply on edge.

In the aftermath of the recent drugging fiasco, Nina simply cannot predict how far a vengeful Willow will go or what extreme gambles she might take with her personal freedom. Granted, Nina is no stranger to wild moves herself—having dumped Drew into the lake not too long ago—but Willow is the one at the very heart of this escalating crisis.

Rehabilitation vs. Prison for Port Charles’ Troubled Souls

As both women spin out in increasingly chaotic ways, viewers are wondering how the show will handle their eventual fallout. While Willow could potentially face severe prison time for her actions, leaning into the mental health angle could offer a way for the soap to rehabilitate her character down the line through a Ferncliff admission.

Whether Anna succumbs to her dark visions of Peter or Willow’s quest for vengeance lands her behind padded walls, both storylines appear headed toward an explosive reckoning.

Do you think a stay at Ferncliff is the best path to rehabilitate Willow and Anna, or should they face real legal consequences for their actions?
