Chad has no idea that Cat is actually working as an undercover agent for the ISA, or that her primary objective in Salem is to completely take down his brother, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel).
As part of her assignment, Cat has resorted to extreme measures, attempting to seduce EJ several times to extract critical information. This undercover game has placed her in extreme psychological and physical peril. Cat has already been strictly warned not to push her luck too far because EJ is not a man to be trifled with. If EJ ever discovers her true identity or what she is up to, he would not hesitate to hurt her or get rid of her in a heartbeat.
This dangerous dynamic has inadvertently triggered Chad’s worst impulses. Completely unaware of the government mission, Chad is consumed by intense jealousy over the apparent friendship and closeness developing between Cat and EJ.
A Summer Recipe for Destruction
With Thomas and Charlotte safely out of town for the summer, the immediate eyewitnesses are gone, leaving the path clear for Chad and Cat to inevitably cross lines. It seems highly possible that the pair will finally hit the sheets again, indulging the passion they have tried so hard to suppress.
