Susan Banks Returns to Salem with a Stern Warning for EJ
Days of Our Lives spoilers for Wednesday, July 29, reveal that an exciting comeback is officially set to shake things up in Salem! As secrets multiply across town, Susan Banks will make her highly anticipated return on a mission to steer her son, EJ DiMera, onto a better path before it is too late.
Currently, Chanel Dupree DiMera is dealing with an immense physical and emotional toll as she goes through cancer treatment. Her husband, Johnny DiMera, is doing everything he can to lift her spirits and be the best partner possible. However, Johnny is harboring significant secrets from Chanel now that he has agreed to do EJ’s dirty work. Marlena Evans already stepped in to try to talk EJ out of using Johnny this way, pointing out that Johnny has no desire to follow in Stefano DiMera’s dark footsteps. While Marlena believes that EJ deep down doesn’t truly want to emulate Stefano either, EJ still feels an overwhelming obligation to uphold the infamous DiMera legacy.
That is where Susan comes in. On Wednesday’s episode, Susan arrives back in Salem bearing a grave warning linked directly to Stefano’s legacy. She is determined to prevent EJ from fully transforming into a horrible villain. Though EJ may frankly already be at that point, Susan refuses to believe it is too late for her son to undo the damage, turn his life around, and focus on becoming a better man.
Lexie Carver Gets Busted Lying to Abe and Theo
While Susan dishes out some tough love to EJ, more dishonesty is unraveling across town. Lexie Carver is continuing to deceive her loved ones about her terminal condition, hiding the heartbreaking reality that she is dying again from Abe Carver and Theo Carver.
However, Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Abe and Theo will catch Lexie red-handed in a lie on Wednesday’s show. Fortunately for Lexie, the bust may not immediately expose her looming grim fate. Instead, Abe and Theo might catch her in a much simpler, smaller lie, giving her a window of opportunity to cover her tracks.
Lexie may manage to deflect their attention entirely by shifting the conversation toward lost time. Realizing they have missed out on numerous family holiday celebrations while Lexie was away, Abe and Theo will throw themselves into planning a special makeup Christmas celebration later this week to compensate for all the parties they missed.

The urgent plea will lead Leo and Rafe to join forces very soon as they launch a joint rescue mission to hunt for Gwen Rizczech in Alamainia. With high stakes and international intrigue on the horizon, the unexpected duo will have to work closely together to bring Gwen home safely.
