General Hospital Spoilers: Nina’s Crime Exposed as Scout Catches Willow Over Drew

A frantic impulsive attack by the water is sending shockwaves across Port Charles, leaving lives hanging in the balance and innocent family members in the crosshairs. Spoilers for General Hospital during the week of July 27 reveal that Nina Reeves is in full panic mode after shoving Drew Cain into the lake, desperately begging Jack Brennan for a cover-up. But as Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri dives in to save the disabled former Congressman, a horrifying scene unfolds that could easily frame Willow Cain for a crime she didn’t commit.

A Fatal Taunt and Chase’s Disbelief

The drama picks up directly from the fallout of Friday, July 24, when Nina shoved Drew and his wheelchair off the dock near the Quartermaine boathouse. Nina had originally brought Drew down to watch Scout Cain practice swimming alongside a full crowd, including Alexis Davis, Willow Cain, Rocco Falconeri, Jason Morgan, and Danny Morgan.

However, after Willow stepped away to take an urgent phone call, the rest of the group departed, leaving Nina alone with Drew. That was when Drew made a huge mistake: he revealed to Nina that he had fully regained his speech functions and began taunting her. Enraged and desperate to protect her daughter, Nina pushed him into the lake.

Over at the Quartermaine mansion, Harrison Chase is spending time with Brook Lynn Quartermaine Chase and baby Phoebe when he hears a shocking claim. Chase asks in complete disbelief, “You pushed Drew’s wheelchair into the lake? I’m sorry, what?”

It remains unclear who Chase is speaking to, though it seems unlikely to be Brook Lynn. Preview scenes for Monday, July 27 show Brook Lynn telling Gio that he should fit in another swim before heading out. Gio might have spotted the empty wheelchair near the launch and rushed inside to report what he saw, or perhaps another witness made the alarming report.

Nina’s Desperate Plea to the WSB Chief

Anxious over what she’s done, Nina rushes straight over to the WSB office to confront Jack Brennan. Having previously phoned him in fear that she might commit a deed she couldn’t take back, Nina makes a desperate plea to Jack, confessing what happened at the lake and begging him to help her cover up the crime.

By the time Nina arrives, Valentin Cassadine and Josslyn Jacks have wrapped up their earlier business and departed. Even though Nina’s reckless action may have eliminated the immediate threat of Willow being exposed by Drew, Jack maintains a stern, unreadable demeanor.

Brennan is left with virtually nothing to construct a plausible cover-up. Viewers are left to wonder what story they will attempt to spin—perhaps claiming Nina accidentally disengaged the wheelchair’s brakes on a downward slope, sending Drew rolling into the water, and explaining away her trip to the WSB as a panic-driven mistake rather than calling 911.

Gio’s Rescue and Brennan’s Demands

As night falls, Jack and Nina head toward the boathouse area. Brennan demands to know, “Where is Drew now?”—a question Nina seemingly cannot answer.

Meanwhile, a dripping wet Gio appears at the boathouse after launching a frantic rescue attempt. Gio tells whoever is gathered nearby, “I found him!”

However, the state in which Gio found Drew remains a huge question mark. Given how much time has elapsed since the push, Drew may be barely alive. Still, because Drew was trained as a Navy SEAL—where holding one’s breath for extended periods under duress is standard procedure—there remains a strong chance he survived.

As word breaks about the disabled former Congressman’s fate, news spreads quickly across town. A visibly shocked Elizabeth Baldwin takes in the news when a man—possibly Gio or Kai Taylor—announces, “You guys are not going to believe what happened!”

Trina Robinson is also shown taking in the shocking update. Given what they know about the night Drew was previously shot in the back, Kai and Trina may quickly jump to conclusions and place the blame squarely on Willow, assuming she tried to drown him this time.

Scout’s Terrifying Discovery Over Drew’s Body

While rumors swirl, the most horrifying scene of all unfolds behind closed doors. Scout appears at a doorway and spots Willow bending over her father’s body on the floor. Both Willow and Scout look completely horrified by the encounter.

It is difficult to discern whether Willow is desperately trying to administer CPR—a lifesaving technique Gio would certainly know as a lifeguard—or if her frazzled actions make it look like she is attempting to finish Drew off. In a voice filled with utter terror, Scout calls out, “Dad?”

Will Drew survive his watery ordeal and identify Nina as his attacker, or will Willow end up taking the fall for her mother’s desperate crime?
