Jack Brennan Spills the Truth to Returned Commissioner Anna Devane

The drama erupts during the promo for the week of July 20-24, where Anna Devane is officially back at work and stepping back into her role as the PCPD’s police commissioner. While conversing with Jack Brennan, Anna asserts her theoretical belief regarding the night of the pier shooting: “Cassius [Faison] had the strongest motive to shoot Cullum that night.”

However, Brennan immediately shuts that theory down. He drops a massive bomb by informing Anna that Cassius is definitely not the person who shot Cullum.

This dangerous secret originally made its way to Brennan through a desperate Danny Morgan. Before Jason Morgan was freed, Danny was practically out of his mind trying to get the WSB to release his father. When Charlotte Cassadine revealed to Danny that Jason was actually taking the fall and covering for Rocco, the teen had an absolute meltdown. Upset that his only living parent was locked away, Danny grew furious that Rocco wasn’t stepping up to admit the truth: that he was the one who pulled the trigger on Cullum.

Hoping the truth would buy Jason’s freedom, Danny went straight to Brennan with the story. But because Cullum was already dead at that point, Brennan advised Danny to keep the information to himself, noting that the WSB wouldn’t care anyway.

Missing Evidence and Dante’s Cover-Up Exposed

While the WSB may no longer be invested in Cullum’s pier shooting, the PCPD’s investigation remains active. That puts both Rocco and Dante in extreme jeopardy.
